Check the internet
When your Roadrunner outgoing mail server not working, check your internet connection. A weak internet connection is one of the potent reasons behind the error. Go to your device and check the internet connection. Inspect the speed of your network and check whether web pages are opening or not. Make sure you have connected the device to a secure access point. Your Roadrunner can also show you the error when you have connected the device to the public network. Roadrunner is a secure email address; it may block the outgoing data when you are using an insecure network for security reasons. If your device is connected to the unsecured network then connect to the secure connection immediately. Now again try to send the email with Roadrunner and then check for the error.
Check Roadrunner email configuration
The user can face errors in sending or receiving emails in Roadrunner when the settings are not configured properly. You need to check the Roadrunner settings and configure them correctly:
IMAP Settings:
- Account Type: IMAP
- Incoming Mail Server (IMAP): twc.com
- Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): twc.com
- Outgoing Server (SMTP port): 587
POP Settings:
- Account Type: POP or POP3
- Incoming Mail Server: twc.com
- Incoming Server (POP3 port): 995
- Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): twc.com
- Outgoing Server (SMTP): 587
Check all the Roadrunner settings carefully and then click on the Submit button. Now again open Roadrunner and try to send the email.
Check the attachment
The user can get the sending error when he has attached an invalid file with the email. You can attach files, photos, documents, etc to your Roadrunner email but there are certain criteria for the attachments. You can’t attach every type of file with Roadrunner. You have to check the guidelines for attachments and then compare whether the file is valid or not. If the data size is big then try to send it in parts or use another medium for sharing it.
Check the recipient’s address
The error in sending an email with Roadrunner can occur when you are trying to send an email to an invalid address. Try to send an email to another address and check whether it gets delivered or not. If it gets delivered then check the recipient address on the blocked list. You can’t send the email to the blocked recipient. Check the blocked list and search for the address. It may be possible that the recipient has blocked your address as well. Contact the recipient via phone or other means to ensure that your address is not blocked. Recheck the recipient address carefully as sometimes users may mistype the address.
Logout your Roadrunner from other devices
You can get into email sending errors when you have logged in to your Roadrunner email account on multiple devices on different locations. When you open the Roadrunner account from a different geographical location; Roadrunner marks it as suspicious and blocks your Roadrunner account temporarily. To fix this error, you need to logout of your email address from other devices. Do not use VPN while logging in to your Roadrunner as it will show the different location and block the email address.
